A Hands-On Home-Learning for a Sustainable World DL teacher works with the student and family to support the child's educational goals. As the S.E.A., you will be supporting this child to meet their curricular and IEP goals in the home (and possibly community). You may also support the student work on their professional therapist's goals (for example, Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy goals) as it is deemed appropriate. HOHL is located in Victoria, B.C., but the job is located in *Ladner*. Your main duties include: -Support with feeding, toileting, dressing, mobility, and personal hygiene as needed -Delivering/adapting/creating some learning activities, as related to their interests and DL supports -Implementing recommendations from SLP, OT, PT -Working with/familiarizing yourself with Augmentative Communication devices used by the student (some training may be provided) The skills and qualities that we are looking for in the S.E.A. include someone who is attentive, patient, experienced, and that can make learning fun! HOHL is looking to work with someone who is responsive, timely, and has strong communication skills. You will be asked to provide Work Samples and to answer educationally relevant questions on a weekly basis (HOHL will provide the questions, and will support you in submitting work samples that are of good quality), along with your weekly invoice of hours. At this time, the learning goals are general educational support, and the main goal is to connect, have fun, and help the student learn and express herself in ways that are positive and meaningful.
