We are looking for a kind, patient caregiver for an elderly woman (89 years of age) who has recently become confused, with compromised vision and lives in her own home. The family is looking for a caring person who is experienced with sundowners and dementia and who will assist her to keep her safe. She wears disposable underwear and needs washroom assistance to go to the washroom. She is in the process of being neurologically assessed. In that we do not currently know the cause, we are uncertain of the length of time of that help will be required but we do not foresee her being alone in the home in the future. We need someone who has had experience with clients over a long term and are prepared to listen and connect with our mother and do range of motion exercises and short walks if she wants.
