An awesome family in North Vancouver is looking for a full-time Nanny/Behavioral Interventionist (BI) combination for our charming 3.5 year and 10 month old daughters. As a nanny, you would be primarily responsible for the care of our 10-month old and providing light housekeeping and meal prep. As a BI, you would be providing therapy as part of an overall behavioural team to our 3.5 year old daughter who has recently been diagnosed with ASD. This therapy would be under the guidance of our fantastic Behavioural consultants. This opportunity is ideal for those individual pursuing a career in early childcare education or the Special Education Field. We envision that role would be split between the mornings and the afternoons, approximately 4 days a week as follows: Mornings: (7.30 am – 1:00pm) - You will be providing care of our 10-month old infant while the mother takes the older daughter to pre-school. Additional help will also be needed with light household duties such as tidying up and meal prep. Afternoons (1:00 pm - 3:00pm) – You will be working directly with our 3.5 year old daughter delivering components of the Behavioural Plan as prescribed by our Behavioural Consultant. Our 3.5 year old little girl is active, verbal, and, in our opinion absolutely adorable! We envision that this will entail 1.5-3 hours a day. Approximately 30-35 hours a week. The successful candidate will be a committed and team oriented individual who will work with our fantastic behavioral consultant team. Our Behavioural team is led by Board Certified Behaviour Consultant (Consultant) using Applied Behavioural Analysis (ABA) through the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). The Consultant would formulate a Behavioural Plan of Intervention (Plan) that will be implemented by the Behaviourial team. Team meetings (potentially in the evening) with the Consultant and our child’s preschool would occur on a regular basis to discuss progress.
