We require a companion/caregiver for an 80 year old female who has mid stage alzheimer’s. Client can still communicate and tries to manage her personal care but her needs are changing every week. Various shifts are available but mainly looking for Saturday and Sunday day shift (approximately 8am-4pm) and also some 4pm-8pm shifts on weekends or weekdays. There is potential for the odd night or weekday day shift as well. Some duties include assisting with showering, meal preparation, laundry, preparing her for the day and evening, light housekeeping, medication dispensing, etc. Location is 15 minutes west of Calgary so candidate must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with dementia patients or students interested in this area of employment.
