Being spoken to in English and German - Good eater and sleeper (currently naps once a day) About us (Family 2) Steff and Justin -Canadian w German and Welsh background About Linnea -2 yrs old -easy going and happy, shy, but comes out of her shell quite quickly -she's enjoying learning new words each day and is full of questions about what's going on around her and what people are doing -loves to talk and sing -she loves puzzles, playing ball, playing in her kitchen and caring for her dolls and lego -she likes looking at books independently, less interested in being read to -great sleeper and not a great eater Sample duties and responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Creating a nurturing and stimulating environment Meeting the children’s social, emotional and physical needs Providing age-appropriate activities Reading to the children Keeping the children’s bedroom and toy room clean, organized and tidy Instilling independence and sense of responsibility Taking the children on age-appropriate outings Preparing nutritious meals and snacks Assisting with dressing children, self-care and hygiene, including diapering and potty training Cleaning/tidying during nap time (both children sleep around 1.5hrs) specifically: family laundry, sweep/mop and dishwasher). About you: Energetic, thoughtful, positive person who loves children At least 4 years of previous nanny experience including caring for toddlers and preschoolers Excellent English, German is a major plus Watchful eye and attentive Confident communicator, able to give and receive feedback Good health and fitness Excellent, verifiable references Current first aid and CPR certification High school graduate Degree in early childhood education a major plus Valid driver’s license a major plus Clean background check Authorization to legally accept employment in Canada Dependable, honest and trustworthy Passionate about healthy food and likes to cook Highly proactive and self driven Flexible and accommodating with schedule Knowledge of the community and activities available to young children.
