Family Location of Work: Vancouver (close to 19th and Main St. ) Start date: (Approx. ) January 15, 2018 Wage: $13.00 per hour Paid vacation days per year: 10 Paid sick days per year: 5 Nature of employment: Permanent, full-time Hours per week: 40-50 Description: Nanny required to provide full-time childcare for 1 infant (6 months old) and seven year old. Main Duties: * Supervise and care for children in employer's residence * Bathe, dress and feed infant and children * Prepare formulas and change diapers for infant * Plan, prepare and serve meals for children and perform light housekeeping duties * Oversee children's activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by employer * Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home * Instruct children in personal hygiene * Tend to the emotional well-being of children and support their social development * Discipline children according to the methods set-out by the parents * Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings * Take children to and from school and appointments Employment Requirements: * Completion of secondary school * Completion of a training program in child care or a related field * Flexible working hours required, as shifts will often be split between morning and evening work * At least three year of child care experience * Demonstrated ability to perform work, including demonstrated ability to manage multiple children under the age of four * First aid certification and CPR training required Note: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis.
