The D. family is looking to fill the position of child caregiver to look after our two children under the age of 4. Duties include the following: Helping the children with their daily activities including daily routine (dressing, bathing, etc) outdoor play, indoor play and programming/activities. Preparing meals and snacks. Maintaining the home including light housework (laundry, cleaning, etc. ) Our eldest daughter has a known diagnosis and requires extensive therapy (occupational therapy, physiotherapy and speech therapy). The caregiver must know how to incorporate these activities into every day. Walking the family dog. The ideal candidate is fluent in English. We live in midtown Toronto (Avenue and Eglinton), easily accessible by several forms of public transportation. We offer a competitive salary at $15.72 per hour. This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week. The right candidate has at least a secondary school diploma, and at least one year experience as a caregiver for young children. Additional formal training as a caregiver or teacher of young children is preferred. Prior experience in children's educational setting (nursery, preschool or kindergarten) working with children of a similar age is also preferred.
