Hi We are a family of 3 living in North Vancouver Seymour area. We are looking for a live in Nanny to help look after Logan, our wonderful 4 year old son. Our requirements are somewhat different because we have a very non-ordinary lifestyle. For example we do not work Monday to Friday 9 to 5. Both of us work as airline employees who have very random schedules. For that reason we may both be away at the same time for several days at a time. We also have times when we go away for a few days of a few weeks between work periods. During these times we normally bring Logan and, depending on the destination we would bring you too. This would be a working vacation for you, but regardless of our schedules we would ensure you have your days off and holidays as per Canadian law. That being said, we are also looking for someone who would be part of the family more than an employee. Another quirk here is that sometimes when we go away it is in our own small 4 or 6 seat aircraft. For this reason we need someone who is not afraid to fly and who is adventurous! Both my wife and I are licensed pilots and I fly large aircraft for a living so you would be in safe hands;-) Have a look at our Facebook page 2.5 pilots around the globe to see some of what we do. Our ideal Nanny would be loving (to Logan of course), patient, good with children, have basic first aid, be social, adventurous, bilingual (Spanish preferred but open to other languages), a good driver, ready to share in work around the house like any family member would and a good cook. You would start in December or January and have the time over Christmas off since we will be with family. Just a little more about us, we are all bilingual, French and English and Magali speaks Spanish. Magali and I have been married for 5 years, we are university educated, live in a quiet and safe suburban community and we particularly enjoy water sports such as wake-boarding, water skiing and wake surfing and snow skiing in the winter. Accompanying us on some of these get aways is also part of the “job”. A short list of what we are looking for is: A great nanny for Logan (Loving, patient, helpful, encouraging, & safety conscious), Someone who is not scared and doesn’t get sick on airplanes, boats or cars, Someone bilingual that can help Logan learn a new language, Someone who will want to be part of our family and our adventures, Someone we can trust to drive our cars, Someone who likes to help out at mealtime and in household chores, and Someone we can trust. If you can help with the cooking, it would be a plus!!!
