Additional job responsibilities:
Personal assistant is required to accompany a 49-year-old man with low vision and mild intellectual disability on social and recreational outings, and medical appointments. The assistant should provide stimulating companionship and make time together enjoyable through humour and conversation. Exact duties will vary from day to day and will be somewhat flexible, depending on the wishes of the man with disabilities. Training in use of white cane and accompanying a person with limited vision will be provided by Toronto agency for people with visual impairments.

I am looking for the following in a nanny We are looking for a personal assistant who lives in Canada and who is very personable, so that he/she can interact well with a man with disability. Our main goal is to help him spent his time being active, interested, and stimulated. We are looking for someone who can fit nicely into our large house. We would like someone who enjoys the city, and can look for opportunities in Toronto make into outings. Most travel will be by subway (which is nearby), but a driver's licence would be helpful, although not essential. We would appreciate someone who enjoys helping with gardening and enjoying the patio or veranda, perhaps chatting with or reading the newspaper highlights to the disabled man. It would help to follow the games of the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, and Toronto Argos. The man with disability will need some down time and time to spend with other people, and some light housekeeping to support him can be done during those times.

  About the Family
More information about my family The man with disabilities lives in a large 100-year-old house in a quiet residential setting near High Park. Two other retired men live in the house as well. The man with disabilities has strong family support, with frequent telephone contact and a family member visiting about once a week. The household is pet-friendly: three cats and a small white dog named Cuddles. We enjoy gardening, going on short outings, entertaining occasionally, and just enjoying our beautiful patio and garden.
I am looking for the following in a nanny A personal assistant is needed for a man with low vision and a mild intellectual disability. The assistant will help to make life enjoyable by acting as a companion, accompanying the man to daily activities, and providing some housekeeping duties that the man cannot do for himself.
