Our family is looking for an experienced nanny / housekeeper to work with us full time. The ideal candidate for this role enjoys working with kids and has experience caring for young / school-aged children. As a nanny, you would be responsible for getting the children ready for school, packing their lunches and taking them to and / or picking them up from their bus stop and possibly helping with getting their homework started. While the children are in school, we’d look to this person to perform housekeeping duties and run errands. Housekeeping would include laundry, general cleaning, maintaining grocery lists as well as the preparation of family meals. Outdoor maintenance could include using a riding lawn mower, sweeping front walk, weeding and light gardening. Errands would include grocery shopping and dry cleaning runs. Our ideal candidate is an experienced nanny / housekeeper who is a reliable, very well-organized professional with at least two references. Ideally, we would also like someone who is flexible with the hours they keep - for example able to come in the mornings for two hours and then return in the afternoon for the remaining 4-6 hours of their workday. Please note, there is no public transportation to our home and we do need someone to help us with errands, so a valid Canadian driver’s license and / or your own transport to and from our house is required.
