We are looking for someone to care for our one year old during the day and do some pick up / drop off of our 5 year old in kindergarten. 3 days per week, preferably Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays but can work around school schedules or other part time jobs (hours must be between 7am-5pm). A vehicle is not required, we are on a bus route and school is within walking distance. However a vehicle could be useful for outings with the one year old or school runs on bad weather days. Childcare experience with references and criminal record check are mandatory. First aid training is preferable. We use positive parenting, logical consequences rather than punishment whenever possible and are not a religious household. Screen time is minimal and age appropriate only, we love baking, crafts, songs and stories. Outdoor play is a must for two energetic boys, we have a large back yard and several nearby parks. Housekeeping would be limited to tidying up throughout the day, toy clean up and dishes as they are used. We are an allergy aware family with several different food allergies/intolerances and do lots of GF and vegan cooking / baking. We are just considering having someone come into our home as daycare is not widely available in our area.
