After School Tutor wanted for a 4. 5 year old child, 2 hours after school. We are looking for an individual with experience working with young children in educational settings. The position is exclusive to educationally stimulating tasks only and does not require any household duties. Specifically we looking for someone who can use various activities, games, boards (endless educational resources such as entire montessori class kits, hundreds of books, math and science tools, crafts and accessories) etc and help child through reading activities. An individual with experience in a classroom working with kindergarten aged children is desired. Child Care Skills: Ability to teach young children: understand enquiry based learning, literacy approaches, assist in maintaining good behaviour and life skills as taught by parents. General Skills: Work independently, able to take direction, maintain record keeping. Ability to communicate in a timely fashion via email. Educational Skills: Plan / create and execute educational activities for a child as they age; ability to research new techniques / different methods of education, monitor skills and weaknesses in development. Personal Skills: ability to be consistent and calm with children, strong verbal and written English language communication skills. Environment: private residence.
