Hi. I'm a mother of a 20-month-old boy and am expecting a baby girl in May 2014. My husband and I live in the Cotes-des-Neiges of Montreal and are looking for a nanny starting on 1 July. We are Anglophone (though my husband speaks French) but we would prefer a Francophone nanny so that our children might be exposed to French. (This is not a requirement, however.) Our son attends daycare (from about 9:00 till 3:00 PM during the week) so your primary responsibility at home will be the care of our baby girl, who will be two months old by the start date. Hours will be flexible during July and August, but starting in September we will need a more fixed schedule as my husband and I will begin teaching. We are looking for an experienced female nanny who is comfortable taking care of a young baby, has a safe driving record (you may need to drop off and/or pick up our son from daycare), and is OK doing light housework and preparing snacks for a toddler. We will be moving in July but plan to remain in the Cotes-des-Neiges area of Montreal. We would prefer hiring someone long-term, i.e. up to a year.
