The position is for a nanny for our two children. We are an active family who loves sports and being outdoors weather permitting so a nanny needs to be active and able to walk briskly, jog or ride a bike with the kids in the spring through fall. We have a 5 year old daughter starting kindergarten in the fall and our son will be 8 years old and in grade 3. We require someone to be at our house at 7am to be with our children when we go to work. During the summer there will need to be some activity planning for them to get some outdoor play time in or near the neighbourhood, and some indoor reading and art quiet time. on school days, they need to be woken up and readied for school, their lunch and snacks need to be prepared and then walk them to school (3-4 blocks away). Our daughter will be in school for half days only. As well, we require light housekeeping to be done while they are sleeping or after they have gone to school. Hours would be 7am to 4:30 or 5pm weekdays. We would like suppers started or prepared at the end of the day. We are open to either live in or live out. We have a mountain home so we are often away on weekends and if the nanny is interested they can sometimes join us, especially if they like hiking, biking, trail running or skiing!
