We are a family of five living in TMR looking for a full time nanny that will be part of our family for years to come. I am a doctor and my husband Max is an entrepreneur working in Montreal. Our oldest son Alex is 6 and starting first grade, while Nathan who is 4 years old is in daycare 4 days a week. Our youngest, Sofia, is 8 months old and we want to keep her at home. This letter is to tell you a little about our home, the working conditions and the kind of caregiver we are looking for. Our nanny Jona has always played an important role and chose to live with us for the last 6 years. She has just told us that she is pregnant. We want to find someone quickly to ensure our happy home stays a safe and harmonious place and we do not mind having two nannies for the months ahead if the right person is available immediately. We hope that the right person will stay with us for many years. We have a nicely renovated detached house in TMR with a backyard. The house is a 10 min walk from the lAcadie metro station and near bus stops. The basement is fully renovated and has always been used by our nanny almost exclusively. It has a large private bedroom with a beautiful renovated bathroom adjacent. The basement floor is a nice sized room with a couch and is well lit. There is also a large flat screen TV with cable and access to the household Wi-Fi. Although we are equipped for a live-in caregiver, the job is available to those who wish to live out. We have always treated our employees as part of the team and they are treated with respect. I work 4 days a week from 7h30 to 15h00. This means I am home when the boys are back at the end of the day. My husband takes care of the kids during the morning routine and leaves for work between 7:45 and 8 a. m. We would like a nanny from 7h45 to 18h15 Monday to Thursday and from 10h00 to 18h00 Friday, so about 50 hours a week. About 2 times per month we need evening overtime that can be planned in advance. Also a few hours per month on the weekends can be requested. For the first 2 years we will only accept normal vacation time that is convenient to our family and no long trips abroad.
