This job will start in September 2015. We can hire for after school care only, i.e. from 3:30 pm to 6 pm, 5 days per week, or offer additional hours to include some light housekeeping, starting at 2 pm 3-5 days per week. Our family of four seeks a part-time, live-out nanny for school pick-up, homework help and other after school activities, plus some help around the house. Our kids will be in SK and grade 3 in September. We live in a comfortable home in the lovely, centrally located Beaches area of Toronto. Must be ok with pets - we have a good natured cat and occasionally look after a friend's gentle dog, and might eventually adopt a mature dog (hypoallergenic). Our preference is for someone in the east end of Toronto or fairly nearby to the area. Applicant must be available Mon-Fri. This job will last until the end of June 2016 and we would prefer someone who can commit for the school year. We are hoping to find a confident, enthusiastic caregiver who can inspire respect and co-operation in children, while also being playful and loving. Our children are funny, smart and affectionate but also have some behavioural challenges so experience working with school age children is a minimum requirement. A good command of the English language in order to communicate with teachers, parents, etc. and help with homework is also important.
