We are a young family with a little boy, William, born at the end of January, 2014. We are looking for an earthy, compassionate, trustworthy, energetic, no-nonsense caregiver to come to our home and give our little guy (almost) as much love, merriment, exercise, and education as his family would. We value nutrition, nature, reading and socializing and are looking for someone who is not afraid to tell him "no" when it's necessary. We are not proponents of 'attachment parenting', but rather are supporters of an older style of parenting involving boundaries, respect, manners, consequences, good grammar, and unconditional love and support. That said, we're not worried about Will getting dirty, trying new things, or scraping his knees - we are both from families with cottages in northern Ontario and would really like Will to appreciate the outdoors as much as we do. William has a severe milk allergy, so we are looking for a nanny who recognizes, and is familiar with, the plethora of other calcium-rich foods that are available.
