While I have not yet had the opportunity to receive monetary compensation for pet sitting, I have been extensively involved in taking care of pets, often doing so for my close relatives and friends. Being a devoted pet lover, I am currently the proud owner of two beautiful male cats. In addition to that, there are periods, particularly during the summer months, when I also look after my parents' senior cat who comes to stay with me. Growing up, my household was always filled with a variety of pets, which has significantly contributed towards my affection for animals. We had several cats - which were part of the family - as well as both freshwater and saltwater fish tanks. Interacting, playing, and caring for my family pets has equipped me with many necessary skills and experience in terms of pet care. In addition to cats, I have also had the privilege of training dogs belonging to several of my friends. This didn't merely involve the basic training but also managing a fair portion of the responsibilities that revolve around pet care. I’ve dunked my hands in every aspect of pet responsibilities, dedicating myself to ensure the pets under my care feel loved, safe, and attended to. Furthermore, I have also provided pet care for friends who were temporarily absent due to vacations. The duties primarily entailed feeding the pets, offering regular walks and runs for their exercise needs. Above all, I made sure there was enough time for play, which is crucial for a pet's mental well-being. I believe play also fosters a stronger bond between the pet and its caretaker. Overall, my mission has always been to treat every pet as if it was my own, providing them with all the love and care they deserve. I currently have two cats of my own, and grew up with both cats and fish. I have also trained the dogs of several friends, and regularly took on many of the responsibilities with respect to pet care. I have also watched pets for friends on vacation, including feeding, walk, runs, and playing.

Sofía and Eli lived north of Montreal, and Caracara the baby’s big sister, lived in Montreal. But I actually walked a Siamese cat named Binki, in Los Angeles, and cared for a recovering German Shepherd who decided vaulting through a plate glass window from the second floor was worth the risk, because he thought he could catch up to his L.A. philharmonic violinist owner who’d just left for work. He wouldn’t let anyone put a tourniquet on his bleeding leg but me, so a very grateful daddy returned to find the bleeding controlled, and his wayward son otherwise unscathed. So the two happy campers quickly left for the doggy doctor, (also my baby dog George’s), thankful, but three blocks away!!Mission accomplished! I’ve worked for two families long term. One with an overweight sweet girlie beagle named Sofía, and her upstairs nemesis cantankerous feline competition, Eli. It was a challenge with one-owner only Eli, but I got him in my lap for caresses eventually, and the girlie and I were quick fast friends, with additional exercise and incentives to the children not to overfeed her, in spite of the beautiful, agonizingly comedic soulful eyes pining for tidbits all day. She’d been hit by a car, so I taught safety to the family and set up frequent walking, to avoid the continual lightening speed beelines for the front and back doors! The other family had a 7–month-old “human baby, ” so I walked both, killing two birds with one stone for that contract!

I am an animal lover. As a dog sitter, I must provide dogs with my undivided attention and a comfortable environment, provide them with food and fresh water, take dogs out for regular walks, provide regular updates to pet owners, clean cages.
