I am an international student studying psychology at Trent University. I am 19 years old and originally from England, UK but moved to Dubai when I was 5 years old for my father's work, and now live permanently in Peterborough, Canada. I have two Maine Coon Cats Happy and Luna who live with me, I also have three hermit crabs. I live with my 5 roommates who also all attend university.
I love all animals except for snakes I have a deadly fear of them and refuse to go near any of them even if they are in an enclosure!
I love hiking and walking and just being outside in general by myself or with others. I also love watching tv, especially documentaries about the world as I love travelling and have currently been to all the continents apart from Antarctica (buts its on my bucket list). I also love reading journals about new things in the field of psychology.
I have worked in a Kennels and Cattery in England where pets some and board while their families are away or unable to care for them for a period or time more any issues such as sickness. Each day I would care for each pet by allowing them outside, playing with them, giving them love and attention, feeding them, and making sure that they are well fed.
I have also worked in a rescue center for all animals in Dubai, UAE called Posh Paws. I helped care for pets to exotic animals from monkeys, meerkats, camels, lion cubs, parrots, and reptiles. I started volunteering there when I was 9 and then we hired for the weekends when I was 14.
I have also always had pets at home as my parents believed it is a vital part of growth and development. I got to rescue two tortoises (Charlie and Lola which we still have), several hamsters, cats and dogs. We once also raised some chickens and gave them to our friends when they got bigger. We also have fostered many animals which now are in their forever homes. At home right now in Canada, I have two Maine Coon cats Happy and Luna.
