Hello! My name is Cara-Leigh, a 34-year-old woman who is a passionate pet enthusiast residing in Spring Lake. Over a decade, I have gained a vast range of experience in caring for our animal companions, growing up on a hobby farm near Edmonton and nurturing various creatures. My pet care journey includes pet sitting, working in a vet clinic, volunteering at pet rescues, and managing my very own diverse menagerie.
Currently, my animal family consists of two rescue cats (one with a neurological disorder), a therapy assistant dog who is a Bernese mountain mix, a Border Collie cross rescue, a Chinese cave gecko, multiple aquariums, a rescued aquatic turtle, and a house pig! Previously, I've catered to a cat with diabetes for 5 years; hence I'm well-versed with providing all kinds of medications and specialized care.
As for my schedule, I am available seven days a week, morning, day, and evening, and can start immediately. I hold a valid driver's license, offer the flexibility to use my vehicle for the job, and am a non-smoker. I am also quite athletic and can swim properly, which can come in handy for pets who love a good splash.
I am confident in performing a wide range of duties, including Animal First aid/CPR, administering oral and injected medication for dogs, caring for senior or special needs animals, providing daily exercise for high-energy animals, and brushing teeth/fur. The services I offer consist of drop-in visits, dog walking, house sitting, and transportation.
I'm open to working with all pet types - cats, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, rodents, exotic animals, and others. As a testament to my dedication to pet care, I have pursued an education in Animal First aid/CPR and am willing to obtain a police check if required.
As a proud Canadian citizen, I comfortably converse in English and am always eager to create a loving environment for every pet I care for. Looking forward to meeting some new furry and scaled friends!
