I’m a 58 year old East Indian female. I came to Canada in 1992 as an immigrant from India. I have two children that are now in there 20’s. Most of my life I have worked part time since I was taking care of my children, and also had the responsibility of a house wife. Later as years passed my mother became ill and I became a full time caregiver for her. Unfortunately she passed away a few months ago. Becoming a caregiver for someone else will bring joy to me as this is what I have don’t most of my life. I enjoy spending time with my family, and going on strolls with my dogs, I also enjoy volunteering during my free time.

I have over 6+ years of experience as a full time caregiver to my mother. I would not label myself as a caregiver because it is something I enjoy doing. Taking care of someone is a blessing. Being able to be there for them emotionally and physically is the best.
