Hi. I am a mother of 4 adult children who are now on their own and a grandmother of 6 young amazing grandchildren. Helping others is rewarding to me. I enjoy baking, cooking, people, (adults and children alike), pets, reading, gardening, the outdoors and keeping busy with a variety of tasks and activities. If something is important to you, then it is important to me to do my best to get it done and make it happen. I am patient, positive, friendly and care about others. I have lovingly cared for 3 palliative family members over the past 12 years. On the other side of life I have enjoyed the rewards of helping raise and nurture my grandchildren. Time spent with others is precious, and I understand the importance of treating everyone with respect and dignity. Being responsible, reliable and committed to others are qualities I take seriously in my work and personal life. In 2023 I was looking after my palliative Uncle dealing with bowel cancer until his passing. ( as a paid care provider). On a personal note I have also looked after my mom for the last 6 months of her life. She was semi-mobile for most of this time (used a walker). She was dealing with a stroke, dementia and heart condition. I also helped with my husbands care as he was dealing with lung cancer until his passing ( chemo appts, doctors, hospital and home care) . Assisted with appointments, outings, shopping, meal prep, cooking, baking, cleaning, socializing, games, cards, dominos and efforts to provide a loving, caring and supportive environment.
