Hello,
I am a mom of two beautiful middle school age children. I am a caring and giving person, I like to see the best in people. I have a well rounded understanding of how challenging it can be for the family members of an elderly loved one requiring our care. Not only have I been a primary live-in caregiver of a elderly family member but I have also cared for my own parents who have endured serious medical treatment. I know many of you are looking for someone who cannot only bring comfort and compassion to your loved ones but also bring relief to you. And it is much needed and deserved. I will do what I can to give you some relief and reassurance knowing that your loved one is in capable, loving hands. I love to laugh, you wont see me too often without a smile on my face, even when there is corn in the shower and its a full moon. :) I have learned a lot taking care of my MIL and family over the past 3 years. My children have taught me to be a powerful advocate in our community, which prove to be an asset while taking care of my loved ones. The wonderful support staff and healthcare professionals that our community has to offer has taught me how to care properly for the vulnerable. I understand the frustration that has brought some of you to look for private care, I sympathize with you. I look forward to hearing from you so we can further discuss my experience and how that may be of assistance to you and your loved ones. I wish you all the best.
Until recently, I was a live-in caregiver for my 90yr old MIL with dementia. I was her primary caregiver. Her care included all necessities; such as personal hygiene, including assistance with all bathroom needs that are required when fully incontinent, meal preparation and planning, scheduling household management, identifying, monitoring and deligating medical needs, accessing community resources, hosting family events and daily enrichment.
