Hello, my name is Shilpa, and I'm currently residing in Halifax. I am an earnest caregiver committed to providing primary care and assistance to those who need it, with experience in working with various patient diagnoses including Quad/ Paraplegic Care, Speech Impairment, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Dementia, and more. Although I'm new to the professional field, I am eager to follow my passion for helping others and provide the best possible care.
As a college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree, I also hold a CPR Certificate and First Aid Certificate, equiping me with the necessary skills to handle emergency health situations. I have been trained to perform a wide range of duties including, but not limited to, ambulation assistance, heavy patient lifting & transfer, bathing, dressing, grooming assistance, toileting assistance, housekeeping, meal planning/preparation, Alzheimer/Dementia care, and injection administration.
I'm open to both full-time and part-time caregiving opportunities and prefer to work in home health care settings, retirement homes, or clinics/hospitals. I'm comfortable with live-in arrangements for patient convenience. I'm also capable of working with children with disabilities, understanding the unique challenges and rewards such work presents.
I am available throughout the week, during mid-day, evenings and nights which provides flexibility in scheduling and on-site caregiving. I can start immediately, indicating my readiness and commitment to providing excellent care for those who need it.
What I'm most passionate about is making the lives of those I care for better. As a caregiver or personal support worker, my goal is to provide comfort, security, and support while promoting a healthy lifestyle. Whether it's planning visits, outings, or simply brining positivity into their daily routine, it's an honor for me to be part of their journey.
I don't have any experience in Canada but I love to work with babies and senior person, I missed my family (my father and mother, grandma, grandpa) so I want to spend some time with senior person and disable person.
