As a , professional woman in my fifties, I have had a multitude of experiences within the healthcare industry. I grew up in a 'healthcare family'; a lot of physicians and even one Health Minister. For over ten years I ran the offices of several physicians in the department of 's and Sunnybrook Hospital. I had direct contact with (and their families) experiencing stroke, dementia, Parkinson's etc. As a car accident and then breast cancer survivor, I found it difficult to find the support, emotionally and physically, . I hope I can fill this gap with positive energy.
