I come from a supportive family and close knit community, which has been fundamental in shaping my strong values of compassion, empathy, and a desire to help others. These core values are what drive my passion for pursuing a career in healthcare and becoming a Personal Support Worker. Also, I am married to a wonderful wife for almost 15 years and were going stronger everyday, my wife said, that one of my endearing quality is being compassionate to our family especially to our parents and that is my commitment to my wife that I will love and support all that she loves. Although I do not have paid experience in the healthcare field, I have been actively involved in caregiving roles within my family and community. From assisting elderly relatives with daily tasks to volunteering at local community centers, and in assisting and taking care of sick Priest in our church. I have developed a deep understanding of the importance of providing compassionate and respectful care. My interests and hobbies reflect my commitment to health and well-being. I am dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle through activities such as running, hiking, dancing, swimming and regular exercise, which help me stay physically fit and mentally focused. I enjoys singing and music a lot, I organize sport activities (indoor sports such as table tennis, chess and other table games) and lead events and programs for my team when I was in my corporate work for a long time. I also enjoy travelling and meeting new people. Additionally, I am passionate about learning and frequently read medical literature and attend workshops to expand my knowledge of healthcare practices and advancements. One of my strongest attributes is my ability to connect with people on a personal level. I have excellent communication skills, a patient demeanor, and a genuine interest in the well-being of others, which allows me to build trusting and supportive relationships. My organizational skills and attention to detail ensure that I can manage multiple tasks efficiently and maintain high standards of care. Furthermore, I bring a strong sense of responsibility and reliability to every task I undertake. My volunteer experiences have taught me the importance of empathy, patience, and dedication, qualities that are essential for a successful career in healthcare. I am eager to bring my passion for helping others, my strong interpersonal skills, and my proactive approach to learning and growth to a healthcare team that values compassion and quality care. I am confident that my background and dedication will allow me to make a positive impact as a Personal Support Worker. I do not have a paid experience in health care but I studied and trained as a PSW or Personal Support Worker for 5 months and I have a National Certification in Caregiving stating that I am certified and competent to do the work, but I need to get a experience particularly a Canadian work experience so I can practice all my learnings in the training, for now, I am assisting my good mother-in-law who has a slight dementia and supporting her for her daily needs like administering medication, taking and checking of vital signs, prepare meals and cleaning or perform housekeeping duties, accompany to the doctor's clinic and to physical exercises like walking, dancing and cooking. If given an opportunity, I would like to undergo training to know more and enhance the skills that I have. I also recently acquired a First Aid Certificate (CAB with AED) as an addition to my skill in this field of health care.

I graduated Bachelor Science in Nursing and passed the licensure exam as a Nurse in Philippines. After I had experience working in Medical Surgical ward, I applied to Saudi Arabia as a Nurse. Saudi licensure exam was a requirement, and luckily passed. I had worked as private nurse to a quadraphlegic patient. Then after that, I worked in hospital setting as a medical surgical nurse and out patient department as well. I did bedside care to cancer patients and worked in the pediatric ward. Assisting patient in doing bed bath and turning patient from side to side so to avoid decubitus ulcer or bedsore. I had a patient who had amputation due to vehicular accident and one of daily routine for him was transferring him from bed to wheel chair and assisted him in all his daily activities. Communication to clients was so important for me to know their needs or pain, and establishing rapport to the patient and family. When my dad was still alive, I took care of my father who was a stroke patient who was paraplegic and required assistance in bathing, bedside care, turning and positioning, etc. I also have a child abroad who is diagnosed with autism (Asperger disorder) who is non-verbal and exhibits poor social interactions, and required behaviour support, social skills training, speech language therapy and other medication. I was her full-time caregiver for 15 years before I came to Canada which gives me good experience in also taking care of children with special needs. As a person I am friendly and love to work with people who need my assistance. I work from my heart. Although it is my first time in Canada, I'm very willing to experience a new environment, and confident enough to start a new life .And if given a chance I will do my best to give my one hundred percent to take care of my patient. multiple years of providing adult care services in for a family in Saudi Arabia

Hello there! My name is Yolanda. I am someone who is zealously devoted to my craft, and possess a work ethic that speaks volumes about my commitment. Over the years, I've honed my skills substantially, gaining abundant experience as a caregiver for various groups including both children and seniors. However, I've recently taken a decision to narrow down my focus and concentrate solely on seniors. My objective is to provide them with compassionate assistance that reflects both my skill and my heart. Along with my specialized expertise in caregiving, there is one more thing I bring to the table: experience in cleaning and efficient house management. My experience over the years has given me insights into maintaining a well-organized and tidy living space. What truly defines my approach to caregiving is my sincere warmth and empathy. These invaluable traits come from the depth of my heart, as I have wholeheartedly dedicated myself to this profession. In fact, I can confidently affirm that I find absolute satisfaction and fulfillment in being a caregiver. I'm someone who flourishes in environments where I am considered not just an outsider, but a valued member of the family. No matter who I am caring for, be it your parents, your aunt, or even your uncle, I ensure to treat them in the same manner as I would treat my own family—with absolute love, respect and care. It is with this unwavering commitment towards my job that I have often been able to develop long-lasting, deep relationships with the families that I have the privilege to work with. I remain beside them at all stages of life, supporting them at each turn in the journey and guiding them through their ups and downs. And this is why I believe that I am the right fit for your care needs, someone who values not just her job, but also the people she cares for. I have accumulated several years of diverse caregiving experience, initially focusing on child care as a nanny, home manager, and cleaner. However, my recent focus has been on providing compassionate care to the elderly. For four years, I dedicated myself to full-time live-in care for an elderly couple, particularly during the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic. My responsibilities included medication management, housekeeping, and providing essential assistance with personal hygiene routines. I took extra care to ensure the comfort and mobility of a physically challenged individual by conducting daily sponge baths and facilitating transfers from bed to wheelchair. Additionally, I provided invaluable support to his wife, who was living with dementia. My commitment to providing attentive, empathetic care has been a central aspect of my professional journey.
