My name is Alfin and I'm a dedicated and compassionate young international LPN student based in Montreal. I have recently accomplished my Personal Support Worker (PSW), First Aid, and CPR certificates. Within my limited experience, I've spent six months working as an assistant caregiver in a care home in India.
Being flexible and adaptive, I am available for part-time employment during most evenings throughout the week and can offer a comprehensive range of the day during weekends. I'm prepared to immediately assist individuals in various settings, including Retirement Homes, Clinics, Hospitals, and Home Health Care.
My services comprise numerous assistance duties, such as facilitating bed pans, ambulation, heavy patient lifting and transfer along with bathing, grooming, toileting, and range of motion exercises. I am also open to performing responsibilities related to housekeeping, grocery shopping, meal planning and preparation, and escorting to appointments. Furthermore, I am experienced in specific care areas like Alzheimer's/Dementia, Palliative, and Patients Positioning care.
I have worked with patients having different diagnoses including Speech Impairment, Congestive Heart Failure, Alzheimer's, Dementia, Cancer, Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Visual and Hearing Impairment among others. My personal interests include listening to music, football, painting, and engaging with diverse groups of people. Please note, my services extend only to individuals who do not suffer from disabilities and require to live out.
Through my education and initial experience as a caregiver, I am committed to providing high-quality care while fostering a comfortable and supportive environment for individuals.
I worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse INTERN at St Margret, Westmount for 2 months and as an assistant care taker back in India
