When you greet each day with gratitude, life becomes a delight, a JOY. I have always held a heartfelt desire for the greater good of all. I love the candid, honest, and playful nature of children, which also arises in the elderly. So much wisdom in both stages of life! I am genuine, happy to help others in need, am fun loving, kind, respectful, I laugh a lot, am patient and compassionate. I am most drawn to a position that feels like it has meaning in someone else's life, as it does mine. I am health conscious, and normally very active, (I played tennis 5 days a week until I broke my knee) so now I just skip to the beach to swim everyday instead...no not in winter but almost! Our elders are us, just a few years ahead, and deserve the utmost genuine care, encouragement, and unwavering loving support, all of which brings a humble joy to my heart to be a part of.

Care Giver for Nanaimo Family Life Association providing elderly care and companionship. Drove clients to/from appts, grocery shopping, light housekeeping, and happily shared time listening to the many colourful lives of so many beautiful people. Also provided care, housekeeping and companionship in private home for an elderly woman with early signs of Alzheimer's/dimentia. And in a more personal setting, I shared in the care of my beloved grandfather during his last days of cancer treatment, at the end of his time on this good earth. And those last few days together, pondering the eternal nature of God ~ is a precious time that always makes me smile.... I have also been in need of a helping hand during times of illness or injury and know how valuable it is to receive loving support :-)
