My name is Debbie, a woman of compassion and understanding hailing from Orillia. For over 14 years, I have dedicated myself to senior and healthcare, working diligently to ensure the wellbeing of those under my care. My dedication lies not only in accomplishing the tasks at hand, but also in creating a joyful, comfortable experience for my clients. I hold numerous certifications related to caregiving such as Personal Support Worker (PSW), Health Care Aides (HCA), Home Support Worker, and First Aid and CPR Certificates, among others. As part of my job, I am oriented in handling various tasks like assisting with Hoyer Lift, dressing and grooming, range of motion exercise, housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and meal preparation among others. I've also worked with patients with various diagnoses like Dementia, Cancer, Stroke, Diabetes, Osteoporosis, Visual Impairment, and Hearing Impairment, which provided me with diverse experience that equipped me to provide better care for my clients. Presently, I am restricted from performing physical assistance such as help with bathing or using the bathroom due to recent recovery from a back injury. However, I am fully capable of providing companionship, assisting with housekeeping and other non-physical duties. I am readily available to start work, offering my services mostly during mid-day and evenings from Monday through Sunday, on a part-time, live-out arrangement. I'm particularly interested in working within the home health care sector, including clinics and hospitals. A police check can be provided for reassurance of my credibility, and I am a proud Canadian citizen who fluently speaks English. Please note that I do have a driver's license and a vehicle for job use, though I am unable to travel far and relocate. I have worked in healthcare for 16 years, only 2 years as PSW but have more experience caring for family through my life as well, I worked as a supervisor in hospital in Dietary for 14 years, before that Iv worked in hospitality and as a chef, cook, bartender, waitress, housekeeping. So I have lots of experience in all that.
