I'm a 54 year old Caucasian female. I've been married for 27 years with 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren. I moved to Oshawa Ontario in 2007 from Winnipeg Manitoba with my family. I have a driver's license and my own personal vehicle. I got into health care in my 20s. A family friend needed assistance with his young daughter that had MS. The joy i saw on her face every time I showed up at her home led me to continue in this field. I have worked for 3 different health care agencies. My clients ranged from new born to 99 years old. I've assisted in ADLs ranging from personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, meal prep, shopping, arranging outings, transfers using mobility devices, mobility exercises, med reminders, prosthetic devices and Respite for family and caregivers. I love to clean and cook. I also enjoy exploring new ways of cooking. I don't watch TV a lot, I would rather read a book or listen to stories about clients lives. I enjoy spending time outside gardening or walking around the area I'm in. I have 3 domestic cats. Also a 4 year old Boxer dog I like to take for walks.
