I have worked as a PSW Caregiver and Child Care Provider for a huge part of my life. I have 3 grown children and a Grandson that I have nurtured and cared for on a regular basis. I genuinely enjoy working as a PSW or Child Care Provider and I’ve always felt gratification in having the abilities to help families in need of extra care for their loved ones.. I try to always have a happy disposition, be energetic, upbeat and positive to everyone I work with. Hello I raised a family and went to school and received my PSW training. Worked in Nursing Home for 7 years and then decided to do Private Personal Support Work for several years. I also worked for an Agency who sent out PSW’s to people’s homes to provide care for a couple of years before returning to Private Care. Have recently worked in a private home setting with an elderly couple who I did light housework for, cooked and served meals, gave showers and took for outings and appointments. I have worked with other elderly ppl in their homes providing care as well and developed a great bond with them. I am while working with them and helping them in any way I could. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I have done physiotherapy, occupying and engaging Alzheimer’s patients, in wound management and care, changing catheter bags, dispensing medication and preparing meals and doing laundry. I have a vehicle so I can drive to appointments if needed as well. I get along good with ppl and am also good at spending time as a companion when needed through out the day. I looked after an elderly couple in their home , making meals, laundry, dishes, medication reminders, bedding, light housework and companionship.I helped out with whatever they needed during my time there and we had a great relationship!! Very lovely people. The role ended up changing when hospital stays got involved and I was sorry to have to leave their employment because of the their changing health situation.

I was also a companion to her as well and we spent a lot of time together when her family was away. She is a lovely lady and unfortunately her health took a turn for the worse and her circumstances changed and I know longer was able to help. During this time I helped an Elderly gentleman on a part time basis with bathing, meals, cleaning , laundry , occasional shopping and companionship!! He was a Veteran and the nicest man ever. We enjoyed each other’s company immensely with story telling , reading and doing the crosswords together.

Hello I recently worked ( for 3 yrs) for an elderly couple in the Newmarket area that wanted to stay in their home for as long as they could. I was there for approximately a 3 years from 2019 to 2021 and only left after one was hospitalized and the dynamics of the household changed after that. While there I made lunch and supper, cleaned up with light housekeeping, changing bedding,, did laundry , gave medication reminders and took them out to appointments and for shopping trips!! I was also a companion for some of the time as well. My time there was very rewarding and that was the second elderly couple I had worked for..I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to help these wonderful people!! I worked at AGTA Home Healthcare for just over 2 years in 2014 to Nov. 2016 I looked after a lady who was in a car accident and had long lasting injuries. My duties were to help her with light housework, cooking, dishes, companionship and driving her around to massage therapy , doctor’s appointments and shopping trips as well. I only left the position when her insurance company reduced her hours and then cancelled them altogether. I enjoyed the time spent with this client and time spent at AGTA ,
