I have been an Education Assistant with Saskatoon Public Schools since 2010. My educational focus in college was of children and seniors (Early Childhood Development Worker diploma and Personal Development Worker certificate programs), and most of my work history has included assignments related to support and care for children and individuals with disabilities. It would suit me to commit to specific days in the week, but also to determine those days weekly, if necessary. I have been married for 32 years and am a mother to three grown children. I enjoy reading, sewing, baking, gardening, walking, bike riding, playing boardgames, setting jigsaw puzzles, and watching tv, among other things. I can provide a clear criminal records check as well as references, and I have a vehicle and a clean driving abstract. Relevant to Covid 19, I have been fully vaccinated. I am a non-smoker.

I have little work experience with seniors, but I have lots of care and companion experience with elder members of my family. I am willing to learn, listen, and attend. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: I’ve been an Education Assistant with Saskatoon Public Schools since 2010. Recently I left a contract position in favour of casual work. My educational focus in college was of children and seniors (Early Childhood Development Worker diploma and Personal Development Worker certificate programs), and most of my work history has included assignments related to support and care for children and individuals with disabilities. I expect to have the time and flexibility to build a relationship of care and assistance with a family. It would suit me to commit to specific days in the week, but also to determine those days weekly, if necessary. I am a mother of three grown children, have been married for 32 years, and believe I have a lot to offer as a companion and caregiver. I enjoy baking, reading, sewing, walking, bike riding, watching tv, setting jigsaw puzzles, playing games, and gardening. My first aid and CPR certifications have lapsed but I will take any required courses. I can provide a clear criminal records check as well as references, and have a vehicle with a clean driving abstract. Relevant to Covid 19, I have been fully vaccinated. I am a non-smoker.

My references
Recommended by Betty B.
Betty will provide a character reference for me. We have known each other for close to 30 years, sharing a special friendship. She knows me and my family well. Betty was dating and is married to a close friend of my husband, which is how we met.
Recommended by Jennifer P.
Jennifer and I were EA colleagues for almost two years at Holliston Elementary School, until I was transferred to another location (due to reduced student enrollment at Holliston).
