I went to school for youth care work and completed the academic portion of the course including classes like Human Growth and Development where we learned about life from conception, through all stages of life and end of life, Crisis Prevention, and Therapeutic Activities. It is widely believed that the youth care worker program sets its students up for success in all human services fields, not just youth! I am very outgoing and bubbly and love to talk! But I am also okay if clients don’t like to talk much and would rather sit and do an activity. A little bit about me is that I love training dogs and doing art!

I have only worked with children thus far. I have worked with many children with physical disabilities as well as psychiatric disabilities. I understand that working with adults has different kinds of challenges than children and require a different approach but I am up to the task and willing to learn what I don’t already know!
