Throughout my career as a personal care attendant, I have undergone vast experience which has gradually expanded and deepened my comprehension of empathy. This role has served as a platform not only for understanding the importance of having an empathetic bearing towards individuals under my care but also for practicing and embedding empathy into my daily tasks. This comprehensive understanding I have gained through hands-on experience has had a profound impact on the way I interact with people, further honing my inherent skills. Being exposed to a diverse range of individuals during my service also pushed me to adapt and accommodate a multitude of personalities and conditions. This diversity has skilfully fine-tuned my abilities to manage, understand and empathize with unique needs and backgrounds. It has been a fulfilling experience that has not only enriched me professionally but also personally, in navigating human aspects with a softer, more understanding touch.
