Job Summary
An engaging, experienced, energetic and creative nanny/house manager is needed for a sweet 4 year old girl and newborn in London, Ontario. The family is looking for a confident, experienced, driven and active nanny to care for their daughter, planning and taking her on adventures. The 4 year old is in nursery school from 9:00am-12:00pm. During these hours the nanny/house manager would be responsible for house manager duties including: meal preparation, tiding and organizing the home, assisting with laundry, emptying garbages/recycling/dishwasher, running errands and getting groceries. No deep cleaning is required. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running who is comfortable stepping in and out of nanny/house manager roles, who can manage their time well and can see what needs to be done without being asked.
Both parents work from home and we need someone who comfortable shifting between full-charge childcare into house manager when the parents are free to spend some extra time with their children.
The family is expecting their second child in July 2024. The nanny will be responsible for assisting with the infant and occasionally full charge care. We are looking for a “play partner” who will take the children to the library, park, plan crafts and activities and engage in imaginary play.
This is a creative, artistic family who is often required to travel for work. They require a nanny who can travel with them sometimes up to a few months at a time. We are looking for someone worldly who has experience traveling with families, who is a confident and organized traveler. Discretion and privacy are very important to this family.

Location: London, Ontario and travel
Child's age: 4 year old and a baby due July 2024
Start Date: As soon as the right fit is found
Contract length: Long term - 1 year to start
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am-6:00pm (Flexible start and end times. 40-50 hours per week. Hours can be 9-5 or 8-5 or 9-6 etc)
Hourly Rate: $25-$35+/hour gross based on experience
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and responsible care for the children in a safe and nurturing environment.
- Engage child in age-appropriate activities, such as imaginary play, games, outtings, crafts, and educational play.
- Prepare and serve healthy meals and snacks for children, ensuring they receive proper nutrition.
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks related to the child's care, such as, laundry, tidying up after meals, loading and unloading the dishwasher and cleaning up play areas, bedroom etc.
- Assist with house management tasks such as- running errands, meal prep for the family, laundry assistance, grocery shopping, conducting returns etc
- All inclusive infant care including - caring for the infant, conducting age appropriate routines and activities, cleaning and sterilizing bottles and breast pump parts, preparing bottles and feeding the baby, eventually making and serving baby food, keeping the nursery stocked with diapers, wipes, etc.
- Conduct the children’s daily schedule include nap routines
- Assist the family through travel including packing and unpacking suitcases. Ensuring all items for the children are packed and taken care of
- Maintain open and clear communication with parents regarding the child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns that may arise.
Requirements/Qualifications
5+ years of nanny experience in a private home
5+ years of experience working with children
3+ years of experience working as a house manager
Ability to provide a safe and secure environment for children
Experience stepping in and out of childcare and house manager roles
Experience working along side parents as well as full-charge
Experience traveling with families
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both children and parents
Strong organizational skills to manage daily routines, schedules, traveling and house manager tasks
You are driven and can see what needs to be done without being asked
Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude when engaging with children.
Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
Cooking skills to prepare healthy and balanced diary free meals for children
Drivers licence not required but a reliable mode of transportation required
First Aid/CPR required or willing to renew
Police clearance required or willing to renew
3 Childcare/Nanny references required
