About us: We are a busy family with 2 young kids, and both parents often have to juggle early morning work calls while getting the kids ready for daycare / school. We would love to have someone help us make our mornings smoother! Schedule: Two hours each weekday morning. Ideally, we are looking at a 6:30 AM start, although we have some flexibility to adjust this slightly earlier or later. Hi, I am in search of someone to be a night doula/ night nanny for my newborn. We would need your help very frequently the first few weeks like 3-4 nights a week, 8 hours a night, then this would decrease to fewer nights per week as the baby gets older. I will be getting a scheduled c-section, so the first 6 weeks I anticipate needing the most help. Your role would be caring for the baby (bringing baby to me to feed, diaper change, swaddling, getting baby back to sleep). I just want you to be aware that I have a 2.5 year old. He is in daycare 5 days a week full-time, and my husband plus my parents will be around to be with him in the evenings for the first few weeks. My husband will attend to him if he wakes up during the night but it is important that he gets to know you and feels comfortable with you before the baby is born (could do a few baby sitting sessions at $25 an hour with him before hand). We do not have an extra bedroo, m so you would have to sleep on our pull out couch in the living room or on a mat in my husband's office. This job could transition to occasional childcare during the day as the baby gets older, like 4 hours a few times a week, but the priority right now is the nighttimes. Position Overview: We are looking for an au pair to provide support with childcare and light household duties. We have homes in Vernon, BC (Predator Ridge) and Vancouver Island (Decourcy Island) that we spend the majority of our time. You would have a dedicated room/space at both of these properties. For the right candidate, they could still choose to live at home in either Vernon or Nanaimo, but they would have to live with us while we travel to the other houses. We also spend a lot of time in the City of Vancouver. When the opportunities arise, we would also like someone that is available to travel with us as well. The au pair will primarily be responsible for assisting with the care of our two-year-old son, as well as providing support with other household tasks.
