Services And Training: Looking for a Private Child Care Worker/Nanny for a 2-year-old and a newborn, starting in late August/September 2021. The older child is very bright and active, and generally happy. Loves to run and play especially outdoors but also loves books and hiding/peekaboo games and generally thrives on attention. Hours would be Monday to Friday 8 am-5 pm in a private home in a residential area, a short drive from 2 local parks. One parent will be home on parental leave until January, then will return to FT employment outside the home. Looking for assistance balancing care for older child and newborn while on leave, then primary care of both children once returning to work. Duties to include primary care (feeding and meal prep, clothing, and hygiene) of the elder child; educational activities and play/entertainment including outdoor play where appropriate: teaching age-appropriate skills. Maintenance of main floor (children's space): sweeping, dish/utensil washing, and tidying after meals and playtime as needed. Changing the diaper genie as needed. Childrens' laundry as needed. Assist with the care of newborn as needed: diapering, feeding, and overall care. Caregiver must have code of conduct and vulnerability check completed, and baby first aid, CPR and proof of valid license, and a clean driving record are strongly preferred. Previous experience is regarded favourably, however, enthusiasm and engagement with the children are most important. References required. Interview to take place before hiring for the position in which we can discuss finer details. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications; Yearly merit-based raises will be included. We are looking for a full-time nanny for our family. We are both physicians who’ve just moved to St. John’s with very irregular schedules and shifts. We have an 8 month old who’s the most important thing to us. We are looking for someone who can: • Run errands/Grocery shopping • Prepare meals / feed children • Transport children • Bath and dress children • Play and interact with children • Minimize screen time for children • Keep children safe and monitored at all times* • Light housework (cleaning, laundry etc) • Cooking This is a full-time (30 hours per week) salaried position, although the hours will not be regular. Some weeks might be a little heavy, and others might be very light. There might be some early morning shifts that are 3 hours (example 6am until 9am), longer overnights (6pm to 10am) or full normal days (7am until 4pm) etc. If ever a month were to exceed fulltime hours (30h*4.3weeks = 130 hours), we would pay the difference at an overtime rate. Conversely, if a month would be lower than fulltime hours, that will just be extra bonus pay for you to keep (e.g. you are guaranteed to be paid 30 hours per week no matter if you work or not). We are using this pay model as we are hoping to keep somebody longterm to grow with our family. “Non-available” time periods can be worked around to an extent and are acceptable within reason. We are looking for somebody with: • Nanny Experience (actual nanny work, not simply babysitting) • Experience with babies / infants • (French is a bonus) • Own Vehicle + Driver’s License • Criminal Record Check w/ Vulnerable Sector Check • Infant CPR (or willing to obtain upon employment) • Non-Smoker • References from previous nanny positions We are looking for someone who can be with us long term, please only apply if you believe you can commit to at least a year.
