Looking for a special person for my two kiddos. I am a single mama of two. My daughter Ava is 8 years old and would need transport to and from school. My son Elijah is 4 years old and has recently been diagnosed with Autism and ADHD. Ideally, the person I hire would have some background working with children on the spectrum. Currently, my son is in daycare and would need transport to and from school but I think would benefit from less daycare time while I am at work! The Job: Starting September 6 - 10 am : Tu, Th, Fri - make lunch for Ava and breakfast for the kids - take kids to school and daycare at 830am (right around the corner, you could drive or walk) - come back, tidy the house, laundry, prep dinner for the evening etc until 1030am 230 - 5pm : Tu, Th, Fri - Pick Ava up from school and Eli from daycare - Take them for an outing until 4pm (park, beach etc) - Bring kids back home, feed dinner, tidy house - I’ll be home at 5pm daily When kids are home sick from school, there may be some days where you could stay home with them while I work. The responsibilities for this role will predominantly be ensuring our children are cared for, safe, and entertained throughout the day. This would be a temporary arrangement for that day, with potential for more opportunities in the future, based on how successfully the day goes. Surrey, BC - Immediate Nanny position available at $20 per hour (non-smoker please). We require before-school care in our home for the hours of 6:30am-8:30am, Monday-Friday and to drive our nine-year-old daughter to elementary school (which is a five minute drive from home) in your own road-safe vehicle. Some pick-ups/after-school care from school at 2:30 pm may be required when needed. We will provide her car seat and reimburse you for your mileage to and from school. You will get her up for the day, dress for school, help with her cereal, style her hair, brush her teeth and take her to school. We also need child-care for the entire day in our home from 6:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday whenever school is not in session (all Pro-D days, Spring Break, Christmas Break & all summer weekdays from the end of June to September Labour Day), although never on statutory holidays or weekends. We are looking for a reliable, year-round, long-term commitment to this schedule and position. REQUIRED: you must have a Vulnerable Sector Check (Criminal Record Search), a valid BC Driver's Licence, your own road-safe vehicle and references. Experience working with children with additional needs would be beneficial. Our little one has Down syndrome and is working on her speech through therapy & reading, which is progressing very well. She is bright, aware and understands what is being said. She is a gentle, silly, social butterfly. She is easy-going and transitions well with various people and places. We are still toilet-training so there are many diaper changes, but she is more like a typical child her age in all other ways. She loves to be outside, to run, play and kick balls around. She loves to dance, sing, play with her dollhouse, various games and play-doh. We read a lot at home and hope you will enjoy reading with her also. We live in Clayton Heights, Surrey.
