We are a family of four seeking a responsible and reliable domestic helper to assist with the daily needs of our household. We have a 12-year-old daughter and a 14-year-old son who are very active, and we need assistance driving them to their activities, all of which are in the North Vancouver area. The position also includes light housecleaning, grocery shopping, the preparation of healthy meals, running errands, and generally helping us to keep the family organized. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, experience working with children, and the ability to manage a busy household. We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, and able to work independently. My husband and I work during the day, so the candidate must be comfortable working with minimal supervision. This position would be ideal for a university or college student looking for a flexible and rewarding job. We currently anticipate the working hours to be three hours a day on Mondays, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons. Job Summary A loving family in the Kitsilano neighbourhood is looking for an engaging, warm and active nanny to care for their two boys ages 4 and 7 years. In the summer the schedule will be 9:00am-5:00pm. We are looking for someone who can plan activities, playdates and outings for the children keeping them busy, active and stimulated. The family lives near many playgrounds, beaches and community centres and the children have lots of friends in the neighbourhood who they enjoy playdates with. The expectation is that the nanny will arrive in the morning, finish up breakfast, pack a day bag and head out in the morning for a planned activity. Head home around lunch time for lunch and some quiet time and then head out for another activity in the after noon (local park, playdate etc) During the school year the schedule will shift to 8:30-4:30. The older child is in school full-time.The nanny will being responsible for caring for the younger child, getting him breakfast and ready for the day and taking him out to do an activity in the morning. The younger child has a preschool program from 12:00-2:30 each day. While the child is in pre-school the family requires house manager duties to be fulfilled. After school the children do a quiet activities such as Lego, a craft, reading etc to wind down after their busy day. We are looking for a nanny who can assist with managing this family’s busy home with house manager duties such as maintaining a tidy and clean kitchen, children’s bedrooms and play areas, taking out garbages and preparing children’s lunch and snacks and managing the children’s laundry. The family requires assistance with groceries, errands and restocking the home as necessary. Location: Cornwall Ave and Trafalgar Street, Vancouver Child's age: 4 and 7 years old Start Date: End of June 2024 Contract length: 1 year to start but long term preferred Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm during the school year. 9:00am-5:00pm during the summer. We are looking for a part-time, live-out nanny to start with us this summer. Our daughter will be born in July. Looking for an experienced, friendly individual who is OK with a small Chihuahua. Light house keeping/dog walking would be required in addition to assisting with newborn care & feeding.
