My name is Julie, and my family is looking for part-time nanny for our 5 years boy with autism (around 3-4 hours daily for the beginning). We live in West Vancouver.

We are looking for a part time nanny to help our family! About Us: • Our kids are 2 years, 4 years and 6 years old. • We would like help 3-4 days per week Monday to Thursday from approximately 3-6pm – but exact hours to be discussed and can be flexible if you have classes or other commitments. • Your primary duties will be picking up our 6-year old from school, playing with her, preparing dinner for the family and cleaning up afterwards. Folding laundry occasionally if time permits. • Our 2 year old and 4 year old will be in full time day care - they will come home around 5pm/5:30pm with me or my husband. • We would especially love someone that is fluent in another language such as Spanish or French but it’s not necessary. • We are located in Lynn Valley, North Vancouver. • We are accessible by transit. • We are walking distance to our daughter’s school, playgrounds, the library, community centres and hiking trails. • We love biking, walking and exploring outside, we hope you do too! We are looking for: • Experience with young children. • Someone who will help with laundry, meal prep, cooking dinner and post meal clean up • ECE and/or French/Spanish speaking preferred but not necessary • We would love to find a nanny who will stay with us at least a year Pay: • $18-20/hour - based on experience Hours: • Monday – Thursday, 3 hour days from approximately 3:00-6:00pm Start Date/Length of Employment: Ideal start date is April 2024. We will need your help for the rest of the school year (April, May, June). We sign our daughter up for camps and go on vacation in the summer so your hours would be reduced for July and August. Ideally you would like to continue working with us for the following school year starting in September. Nanny Qualifications: • 1 year of experience or more • Bilingual nanny (English and other language) preferred • Legal to work in Canada • CPR/First Aid Certificate • References • ECE Certification preferred but not required Responsibilities: • Pick up 6 year old from school (it’s walking distance) • Prepare snack and activities for our 6 year old • Prepare dinner for the family and clean up after dinner • Laundry • Light house tidying • Planning activities • Ability to occasionally watch the other children (ages 2 and 4) if they are not at daycare, or evenings or weekends when my husband and I have a date night or evening out. The focus will be Izzy but a bit of help with her meals/laundry and some tidying while she naps is appreciated. We like her to get out and about to activities so either own car, use of mine or willingness to use public transport essential. Job Summary A loving family in the Kitsilano neighbourhood is looking for an engaging, warm and active nanny to care for their two boys ages 4 and 7 years. In the summer the schedule will be 9:00am-5:00pm. We are looking for someone who can plan activities, playdates and outings for the children keeping them busy, active and stimulated. The family lives near many playgrounds, beaches and community centres and the children have lots of friends in the neighbourhood who they enjoy playdates with. The expectation is that the nanny will arrive in the morning, finish up breakfast, pack a day bag and head out in the morning for a planned activity. Head home around lunch time for lunch and some quiet time and then head out for another activity in the after noon (local park, playdate etc) During the school year the schedule will shift to 8:30-4:30. The older child is in school full-time.The nanny will being responsible for caring for the younger child, getting him breakfast and ready for the day and taking him out to do an activity in the morning. The younger child has a preschool program from 12:00-2:30 each day. While the child is in pre-school the family requires house manager duties to be fulfilled. After school the children do a quiet activities such as Lego, a craft, reading etc to wind down after their busy day. Hi, I am in search of someone to be a night doula/ night nanny for my newborn. We would need your help very frequently the first few weeks like 3-4 nights a week, 8 hours a night, then this would decrease to fewer nights per week as the baby gets older. I will be getting a scheduled c-section, so the first 6 weeks I anticipate needing the most help. Your role would be caring for the baby (bringing baby to me to feed, diaper change, swaddling, getting baby back to sleep). I just want you to be aware that I have a 2.5 year old. He is in daycare 5 days a week full-time, and my husband plus my parents will be around to be with him in the evenings for the first few weeks. My husband will attend to him if he wakes up during the night but it is important that he gets to know you and feels comfortable with you before the baby is born (could do a few baby sitting sessions at $25 an hour with him before hand). We do not have an extra bedroo, m so you would have to sleep on our pull out couch in the living room or on a mat in my husband's office. This job could transition to occasional childcare during the day as the baby gets older, like 4 hours a few times a week, but the priority right now is the nighttimes.
