We are an adventurous, loving, and laid back family looking for an individual to support us as we navigate the new normal of covid-19 with the demands of our careers, growing family, and the possibility of homeschooling for the remainder of this year. We are looking for someone who will stay with our family for years to come. Hours are from 8 am-2 pm, Mon-Fri with the possibility of increasing to 8hrs/day. Currently, the care is for our 3-year-old son who will be at home - he is incredibly bright, busy, adventurous, and hilarious. We also have a 4-year-old daughter. She is sweet, sensitive, conscious, and loves all things obnoxiously girly. Both are currently enrolled in a Montessori program in the GTA (we will be moving to Cobourg in December). We are not thrilled with the mandatory masking and social distance focus at their current school with their being so young and in such crucial developmental stages, so we are hoping to build a more normal environment for them. We are still exploring what that looks like. We have enrolled our daughter in JK in the Cobourg area, but also consider the idea of home instruction if we feel it can meet her needs and offer socializing opportunities. Both children are enrolled in skating and skiing lessons for the winter. We would love someone who is able to take our son (and potentially our daughter if we opt to keep her home) out for social interaction and fun activities in the community. We currently have a 17-year-old chihuahua, he sleeps a lot and is catered to in his golden years. We also have a noble 6-year-old border collie, and he is a wonderful boy. Our new home will have approx 5 acres to utilize, a large playroom area, and plenty of space to have fun. We are rural (approx 5 mins from town). We are willing to consider someone who has a child of their own of similar age. Would also happily consider a more seasoned caregiver with lots of experience and love to give.
