We are seeking a responsible, nurturing, energetic, and attentive nanny for our daughter who will be 12 months at the time of the start date of this position (September 2024). This is a full-time, permanent position (35-40 hours a week). Responsibilities include:
Engaging our daughter in age appropriate activities that foster fine and gross motor skills development, language development, and social skills;
Providing a physically and emotionally safe space;
Following a nap schedule;
Changing diapers;
Practicing baby sign language;
Light meal prep (for our daughter only);
Light housework (keeping our daughters room and common areas such as the kitchen and living room clean and tidy; laundering our daughters clothes if needed);
Logging daily activities in Huckleberry App.
We are young professionals. Mother works remotely from home (full-time). Father works from home Mondays and Fridays, and commutes into the office Tuesday - Thursday.
As parents, we aim to show up for our daughter with empathy, respect, and understanding, and we expect our nanny to do the same. We have chosen to limit screen time for our daughter, and expect our nanny to uphold this practice. We do not believe in harsh forms of punishment (e.g. timeouts), but rather practice empathy when our child is dealing with big emotions. Our goal is to raise an independent and confident child, and the ideal candidate will support us in doing so.
