I am in need of someone who is educated and able in dealing with my child with Autism. My son is 6 years old and because of being on the spectrum he struggles making connections or holding onto long term the ones he does make. It also makes it hard to find someone to care for him that isn’t well enough informed on his struggles outside of just us expressing it to them. It is hard to be his only source of support or play at all times and having an extra hand would mean the world. He is a wonderful young boy when he is regulated, but when he is not it can be beyond challenging. I want him to be able to connect and have someone who can understand him on a different level. Where he can get help, and I can be offered some source of a break as well, so I can be my best for him too. It is hard to put all that is needed to be said in such small space. Hoping to discuss more with someone of a great fit for him soon.
