Employer: Private Position: Child Caregiver Terms of Employment: Full-time / Permanent Location: Toronto, Ontario – Major Intersection: Bathurst and Eglinton M6C 2H4 Hours of Work: 40 hours per week Language: English Salary: $19.00 CAD/hour Duties: • Supervise and care for three (3) children in the employer's own residence; • Plan, prepare and serve meals for the children and perform other housekeeping duties; • Oversee the children’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed; • Maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home; • Instruct children on and assist with personal hygiene; • Tend to the emotional well-being of the children and support their social development; • Discipline the children according to the methods requested by the parents; • Provide age-appropriate education/training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings; • Assist the children with their homework or instruct them to complete; • Take the children to and from programs, school, and appointments; and • Perform other errands as required. Requirements: • Minimum one (1) year of child caregiving experience; • Completion of High School is required; • Reliable, nurturing, and attentive; • Excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills; and • Must be flexible to work evenings and weekends, if needed.
