Looking for a nanny with capabilities for childcare and managing a household. We have a loving, energetic two year-old girl and will be having our second child in September 2024. Looking for someone to look after our 2 year old full time and help with the baby as needed during my maternity leave. Eventually, taking on full time care of both children when I return to work. Responsibilities include the following: - Childcare: looking after the child(ren)'s needs during the day. - Taking the child(ren) out to activities around the city: i.e., strong start, family place, community centres, Science world, aquarium, parks - Some outdoor play time for the children each day (regardless of weather) - Light meal preparation for children (breakfast/lunch) - Meal preparation for the family (dinner) - Groceries and errands as needed - Take initiative in managing household tasks: i.e., laundry, tidying the house, light cleaning Hours: - Full time, at least 40 hours/week - 6:30am-2:30pm, with some days extending beyond 2:30pm. Likely to increase to 6:30am-4pm daily when I return to work. Additional requirements: - Willingness to work when the children are sick (due to the nature of our jobs, we have very little ability to take sick days) - Must have a legal work permit (we are also willing to sponsor for the right candidate) - pay must be via official payroll - Strong work ethic and commitment to support a household in which both parents have demanding jobs - Valid BC driver's license helpful but not necessary - Ability to speak French and/or Spanish is a bonus, but not required (our child speaks English, French, and Spanish fluently and we value exposure to multiple languages)
