My partner, Garret, and I (Josie) are seeking a regular babysitter for our happy and healthy six-month-old baby boy, Oscar. Ideally, we would like someone available for one or two days or afternoons weekly, along with occasional evening care. The specific days can be determined to suit the right applicant. In time, as we all become more comfortable, we may also request occasional overnight babysitting, but this is not a deal breaker. We also have a very gentle small to medium mixed breed dog named Bonnie. She may be shy at first, but she is loving and playful once she gets to know you. We have a dog walker on call as well. The main duties we're looking for are as follows: 1. General daily care including feeding, changing, comforting, maintaining Oscar's routine, and playing with him. 2. Evening tasks such as bedtime routines, bath time, feeding, and story time. 3. Oscar is a very active baby and we'd like his sitter to engage with him, ideally building a strong relationship through play and activities. We encourage as much outdoor play as feasible, whether it be in the backyard or walks in the neighborhood (Wolsley). 4. As previously mentioned, we do have a dog, Bonnie, who is well trained and gentle. We'd welcome her joining the walk, if you wish. 5. Though we do not expect you to be on call, if you are open to being "in the pool" of people we can calls in a pinch, that would be appreciated. Of course, you’re under no obligation to say yes to these calls and we would discuss an appropriate fee for such services. 6. Having a valid driving license and vehicle would be beneficial but is not imperative. We will provide the car seat. At least one of these should be from a parent whose child you have cared for. Please also indicate your compensation expectations.
