I think that my unique combination of life and work experience and attitude would lead me to fit well into your family. I have worked with children of all ages. I am a widely experienced educator with a passion for helping children develop their true potential, no matter where their interests lie, n both English and French. I believe in keenly observing children and developing a method of working with them based on their interests and strengths. Every child is a unique individual worthy of the highest respect. I am empathetic, patient and caring, and find it a privilege to impact positively on the lives of children and their families. I live strongly in the power of positivity, and strive to incorporate this value into everything I do. Right livelihood is important to me. Children are my favorite people. I endeavor to foster a collaborative relationship with families. Professionalism and flexibility are my keywords.I enjoy working to help busy families streamline their hectic lives. I have a reliable vehicle, an impeccable driving record, and have had all security checks. I love to cook, go on nature walks, draw, read stories to and just generally have fun with and for children. I think healthy nourishment, sufficient rest and physical activities are of the utmost importance for young children, and will ensure that happens for the families I work with. I also like bringing children to activities geared to their interests and talents. If that is a young child who loves dinosaurs, then that is what we will explore. Science, we will go to the science centre. Art, I am on the board of directors for a local art gallery for children to explore. Calgary has a wealth of activities for young ones. I also like opening up the world for children by bringing them to events that may spark a lifelong interest in something they previously knew nothing about. In few years ago, I was chosen to be featured as part of the “Everyday Heroes” campaign for Microsoft Canada for my work with children, including some with special needs, in particular Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. I know that all children are beacons of light that have so much to teach us, if only we are open hearted enough to listen. I have many superb recommendations from children, parents, employers and colleagues that attest to my commitment to doing the best I can for whomever I am entrusted with. I like being a part of a happy and loving atmosphere for children to thrive in.
