I’m married with one son (2 years old). I love the outdoors (hiking, swimming, badminton and tennis). I have many years of experience working in a childcare setting and arranging activities suited to each developmental age. I love messy sensory play and art activities. One of my favourite parts of being an ECE is singing songs and circle time. I believe that it’s important to guide children towards independence, teaching problem solving and incorporating each developmental domain (cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language) into each day. My training is from Ontario where they have very high expectations for ECE’s.

My name is Samantha and I'm an experienced Early Childhood Educator and Speech and Language Pathology Assistant/Audiology Assistant and Practical Nurse. I have many years of experience working one-on-one and in group care such as in hospitals, schools, daycares and a children's treatment centre. I'm passionate about helping all children especially those with special needs to exceed expectations and live a deeply meaningful life with purpose. I believe that we need to learn the 'language' of each child in order to facilitate communication (ex. Hanen programs). My training and background includes: nursing, speech and language therapy, early childhood education, PECS (picture exchange communication system), ASL (American Sign Language), ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) and several Hanen certifications/workshops. I’m looking to start in August and will take 1 or 2 children into my home or we will come to you. My son (2 years) will be joining along too.
