I was raised in a loving family with two older brothers and a wonderful dog named Barker. I am immensely blessed to be able to say that my family remains extremely close-knit. I have had the good fortune of living in the same city as my maternal grandparents and I value quality time with them whenever possible. Growing up in the church allowed me to realize the importance of community and surrounding yourself with loving, supportive people.
Music has played a huge role in my life and continues to be very important to me. More specifically, I have a passion for singing and songwriting. I see the benefits of engaging in creative and therapeutic play with kids and the positive impact it has on their development.
At present, I do video editing and content creation for companies on the side, as it has been a fun creative outlet for me.
I am looking for a summer job before I finish off my degree in The Child and Youth Care Program at Macewan. I plan to continue my studies in counselling after obtaining my degree.
I adopt a relational and holistic approach when working with children and youth, as I believe it creates a space for meaningful work and interactions.
I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old. I feel that I am very good with kids and they seem to respond well to me. For my summer job in 2022 & 2023 I was a nanny for a 1.5 yr old and a 3 yr old. For my practicum, I worked in a kindergarten classroom as a Child and Youth Care worker(EA type role). I worked at The Family Centre as a family reunification worker. During that time I worked with a mother & her three kids, all under the age of three. I also worked with a 7 year old boy and his family. As well as many ages in between.
I graduated from Strathcona high school in 2018. I have a Child and Youth care diploma from Macewan University and will be receiving my degree next year.
I have completed the “Brain Story Certification Course”
A few topics I’ve taken courses on include, but are not limited to:
- Child Development
- Trauma informed Practice
- Substance Abuse

- Applying Developmental Theory
I received the “Governor General Bronze medal. This medal is awarded to the graduate who has the highest academic standing in a diploma program for that graduating class.
