Hey! My name is Jess and I am a fourth year student at the University of Guelph, studying psychology. I have been working very closely with kids aged 4-16 since 2019. I have successfully worked my way up into a high up position with Diabetes Canada and their overnight summer camp programming in Huntsville, Ontario. This work requires lots of energy, passion, and commitment, as well as responsibility. I have had up to ten children living with type one diabetes at a time in my care day and night. My biggest successes in this field has been my commitment to creating an inclusive, fun, and safe atmosphere for every single child. During the covid-19 pandemic I worked at a day camp/ daycare where I supervised and facilitated games and activities for children aged 4-10. Prior to summer 2019 I have lots of experience babysitting younger children as I am the oldest cousin of seven. While I have not had experience with babysitting in the past few years I do have a lot of experience working with children and can bring both a calm and energetic, entertaining atmosphere for them.

I am in my fourth and final year of my undergraduate degree in psychology at the University of Guelph. In the fall of 2024 I plan on beginning my masters in social work allowing for me to work in hospitals with children.
